Visits offer Estonian businesses with international ambition to increase their visibility on external markets and identify their global export potential.

The organizers of the visits strive towards creating the best opportunities for Estonian companies to establish new contacts, strengthen ties with existing partners and get acquainted with business culture and best practices on the new target markets. The program of the visit is compiled together with the delegation members, who will indicate their business interests of the participation in the business profile form.

In which visits you can participate in?

Foreign visits open doors to new markets and help them find international partners.

State visit

State visits are considered to be the highest expression of friendly bilateral relations between two states. The visit takes place at the invitation of the head of state of the host country. The delegation is led by the President of the Republic (of Estonia), the business delegation is usually, but not always, part of the visit.

Official visit

The most common form of the visit in case of first time visit to foreign country by the head of government. The delegation is led by the Prime Minister, the business delegation is usually, but not always, part of the visit.

Working visit

A short-term visit to meet a civil servant/counterpart at the same level in the country of the visit. A business delegation may be part of the visit but it is not obligatory.

Trade mission

A trade mission helps an entrepreneur get a better overview of the business opportunities of the target market, useful market information, and initial business contacts.

The state shared stands help Estonian companies to succeed on foreign markets and create very good opportunities to find new contacts and directly market their products and services to resellers and consumers on the target market.

Other high-level event

Additional info about visits

All companies registered in the Republic of Estonia can submit a request to participate in international visits. The organizer of the visit has the right to exclude companies, whose participation is not in compliance with aim of the visit or originate from the reputation aspects of the Republic of Estonia.

Expenses related to the travelling costs of business delegation member (air tickets, accommodation, visa and, if necessary, travel insurance) must be paid by each participant. The organizer of the visit arranges the program and the on-site transportation and covers the related costs. For some visits (e.g. contact trip, shared stand), the organizer has the right to charge a participation fee from the business delegation member.

We use the information from the visit registration form (1) to compile the business delegation program, (2) to draft introductory materials about the business delegation for the counterpart of the hosting country and for the head of the business delegation leading the visit to maximize the delegation’s interests during on-site meetings. We collect information straight in English, as it is the language of communication with partners in the destination country, and therefore companies do not have to submit information twice.

When filling in the form on the Visiidid.ee website, we recommend choosing up to five destination countries, about which you will be notified by e-mail, if visits to those countries are planned/announced. If you select more than five countries, notifications may occur too frequently. We are not technically limiting the number of destination countries, so you can add more than five countries if you wish so.
