State visit
State visits are considered to be the highest expression of friendly bilateral relations between two states. The visit takes place at the invitation of the head of state of the host country. The delegation is led by the President of the Republic (of Estonia), the business delegation is usually, but not always, part of the visit.
Official visit
The most common form of the visit in case of first time visit to foreign country by the head of government. The delegation is led by the Prime Minister, the business delegation is usually, but not always, part of the visit.
Working visit
A short-term visit to meet a civil servant/counterpart at the same level in the country of the visit. A business delegation may be part of the visit but it is not obligatory.
Contact trip
A contact trip is a service for exporters to familiarise themselves with a new export market, which helps them to obtain primary business contacts on the target market and gives a better overview of the possibilities to export their product or service to a specific foreign market.
